500g/18oz ready-made puff pastry
1 large egg, whisked
Preheat oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
Roll out puff pastry to a rectangle. Crumble the gorgonzola on top, fold in half and roll out until you have the thickness you want.
Cut pastry into strips and twist each strip at either end to create the cheese straw.
Place the straws onto a baking sheet, brush with the egg wash and put into preheated oven for 15 minutes until golden.
Remove from the oven, place onto a cooling rack and serve warm or great to take on a picnic
