you will need

1 large onion and cut this very thinly or even grate it.
1 potato cubed for boiling
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriander
1 tsp tumeric
very small pinch of cayenne pepper
olive oil for frying onions
bottle of vegetable oil for deep frying

boil the potato until it is very soft, in the meantime
slice the onion or grate
fry in the olive oil
add the cumin, coriander, tumeric and cayenne pepper
cook until the onion goes a brown onion
drain and mash the potato
mix all ingredients together and bind well with a little olive oil
make small balls with the mixture and deep fry in the veg oil until golden brown.

serve along side a nice curry - they will be quick to go!
