My friends have had quite a debate on the subject of being a semi-vegetarian! Some say that you are a vegetrian or not! What really is the difference? Can you be a semi-vegetarian? |

yes, people expect you to fall exactly into one camp or the other.
i know some semi-veggies who eat fish and chicken / turkey, but wont touch red meats. |

I understand semi-vegetarian to mean that you eat no meat except fish (some do not class fish as meat) but do eat dairy products but vegan is different in that it is more the way you live i.e. you eat and drink no animal based products including avoiding milk, eggs and honey etc and some vegans I know won't wear animal products at all. I think that there are quite a few differing ideas as to what constitutes a semi-vegetarian and vegan. |

demi-vegetarian is someone who only eats orgainc, animal friendly products (including meat!) Someone who only eats fish is a p-tarian. I can't remeber what the middle is, but it isn't 'pect' (i checked it in the dictionary).
