Coldron is the only Tofu I know off and you can get that from Supermarkets and Health shops but as for one that freezes I am not sure. I have heard that you can freeze the Coldron one anyway. I think that the best before date on them is normally very good. |

Further to Sue's point - I read somewhere that you can freeze the Cauldron brand (tofu doesn't normally freeze) and then you thaw it and fry it and it becomes really crispy - I must admit I will be trying this myself, it sounds ok. I am not a real fan of tofu but I will give it a go! |

I have heard that if you coat tofu in corn flour first and then fry it is a lot crispier. I haven't tried this yet so let me know if anybody tries this! You have to get out as much moisture as possible first as well - I think this is the secret to frying it and it being crispy. |

I'm going to try this idea - I still have some in the fridge that I have had for a while not knowing quite what to do with it! |

If you soak all the excess water out of tofu and then freeze it it will have a "meatier" texture when thawed and used. I freeze my extra firm tofu and then use it in quesedillas seasoned with taco seasoning. Yum! |
